Good day! Welcome to my personal research blog and site! I am currently pursuing my Ph.D. in Marine Biology and I am based at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) and the University of Sydney in Sydney, Australia. My current Ph.D. research encompasses the understanding of ecological functioning and connectivity in remnant Sydney oyster reefs in New South Wales. I am interested in scientific endeavors relating to benthic-environmental ecology in many marine habitats such as oyster reefs, coral reefs, mangrove forests, seagrass meadows, and other associated marine habitats., with a focus on fieldwork-based research. Apart from research, I am also interested in the conservation of marine habitats and I love outdoor and outreach activities to communicate Science to the public and my fellow researcher.
In this site, you will learn more about my background, current, and past research projects and updates about my ongoing PhD projects. Feel free to roam about the website. Outside research, I do also love traveling (both local and international) during my spare time, cooking, and bushwalk.
Feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or text me on Twitter (@rickcleong) if you're keen to contact me or ask me anything regarding my research and publications. Have a time strolling around the website.
