Welcome to my research page!

I am a marine ecologist (PhD, MSc, BSc Hons) extensive research experience in marine systems in three different continents (Asia, Oceania and Europe) alongside academic teaching, statistical analyses, environmental consultancy and project management.

My research interests encompass the understanding ecological baselines in tropical and temperate marine ecosystems to inform management and restoration of these habitats.

I am also experienced with statistical an
alyses with in R and R Studio; I can conduct univariate and multivariate analyses on large- biological and/or environmental dataset(s). These analyses include regression, model-training, model-selection and AI-image based analyses.

My environmental consultancy services include advice for spatial planning in urbanised marine and terrestial environments, and translocation of endangered species for habitat restoration purposes.

I have over 850 contact hours of undergraduate teaching in National University of Singapore, UNSW and The University of Sydney in subjects related to general Biology, Ecology and Statistical knowledge.

Feel free to contact me via email:  rick.leong (at) unsw.edu.au or  via Twitter (@rickcleong) for queries regarding my skills and services.
